Since 2021, we have been committed to donating $20,000 yearly to Les Twentyman foundation, who supports struggling children and young people. Richard, our CEO, experienced firsthand their help over 30 years ago.
A note from our CEO, Richard Phan,
“I never did forget the kindness upon meeting Les Twentyman and Richard Tregear some 30 years ago. When I left home at 14, I struggled to find my footing. Being welcomed at such a young age by the foundation, which at the time was a part of Melbourne City Mission, set me on a path that would shape my entire future. That memory fuelled me for decades. In 2021, a favour was asked back in return and I was only so happy to oblige. Meeting with the team at the foundation and seeing their earnest passion for the work was truly moving. So began our formal relationship with the foundation, beginning with a donation of $10,000, with Ludlows continuing to donate a further $20,000 each year to the organisation- currently totalling $50,000.
Ludlows is proud to have also supported the foundation in other ways: having donated marketing materials, signage and displays to help assist with spreading the word.
The helping hand that I received all those years ago was life changing. The foundation’s vital place in the community cannot be understated.
Imagine a place where those who seek help, have no place to turn to. Imagine a world where we are all on our own with no one to seek support from. To keep this from becoming our reality, Ludlows gives back and will continue to uphold our financial pledge to this most essential, incredible organisation.”
